Birmingham News boycott
I've been hearing some yahoo Bama fan on the radio trying to organize a boycott of the B'ham News. He said Auburn is getting all the press the past year, and Alabama is on the backburner. Hello, moron, Auburn just won the National Championship, of course the coverage will be slanted towards Auburn. Do you not remember the previous year? Alabama was all over the B'ham News. How about the past 50 years? For the first time I can remember, Auburn has gotten fair coverage from the News, and some nitwit Bama homer wants a boycott. Good luck.

NASCAR and Bassmasters
On Sunday, Kevin VanDam won his 4th Bassmasters Classic title. He tied Rick Clunn for most Classic wins all time. He is 6th time Toyota Tundra Angler Of The Year, and considered by many, to be the greatest bass fisherman of all time. VanDam is from Kalamazoo, Michigan. NASCAR got cranked up Sunday as well. Jimmie Johnson, the sports golden boy has won 5 consecutive NASCAR Sprint Cup Championships. Johnson, like VanDam is considered the best at his sport. J.J. is from El Cajon, California. What has happened to these traditional southern redneck sports? They are being overtaken by yankees and Californians. They're still lots of Southern boys in these two sports, but it seems non-southerners are currently the best. We need to take the power back. At least we are still the best in College Football....for now.

Daytona
I hope Jr. can pull off the win today. It would be awesome for him to do it on the 10th anniversary of his fathers death at Daytona.

Iraqi Dinar scam?
Have you heard the phrase "if it looks too good to be true, it probably is"? The Iraqi Dinar is the official currency of Iraq. Many people are buying Dinars from dealers in hopes of making a large profit. The dealers promise to make the buyers virtually millionaires once The Dinar appreciates. The belief is that once Iraq stabilizes the Dinar will appreciate, and investors will make around 10 times their original investment. I have a friend that works for Fedex. He said these things are flying off the shelves, so to speak. He said he averages about 3 stops a day on his route for people getting Dinars delivered. And these people, for the most part are on the lower end of the economic class chart. If you do research, the only people saying good things about the Dinars are the dealers. Heres some interesting links.

If you've got Finebaum money, go for it, take the risk. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend it.

David Akers
Philadelphia Eagles kicker David Akers found out two days before the NFC wildcard loss to the Greenbay Packers that his 6 year old daughter had a cancerous cyst in her ovary. Akers missed two relatively easy field goals in the game that could of won it for the Eagles. So what did his coach Andy Reid say after the game? "we can all count. Those points would of helped" Rewind two years. Reids two sons are sent to prison for running a drug ring. The Judge called the family a "family in crisis" and the Reid home a "drug emporium" It seems to me Reids priorities are football first, family somewhere else down the line. I can't imagine what Akers was going through, with his daughter. I would be out of Philly tomorrow if I were him. Akers daughter Halley had one ovary removed, and doctors believed they removed all of the tumor. She will likely have to have her other ovary removed. She is 6 years old. The family is in my prayers.
